Our secondary is absolutely legit. Hope they can get and stay healthy

No doubt. Roberts switched things up after UMass first drive. Montgomery keeps trotting out the same thing week after week.

Concerned with the running game for sure. The big runs that Thorne broke off seemed as unexpected to Samford as to us
and now the next three have tape on that. We will see if Montgomery makes the proper adjustments to make it competitive the next three games. I believe with our defense, especially secondary, we have a good shot to go 7-5 and maybe 8-4 seeing how Miss St and Arkansas played today. The key will be to come out reasonably healthy after the next three games though.

Thats the wicked part Chex, we have not been healthy yet, Kaufman and Keionte last night, others the I cant think of, and still kicking arse, that is what quality depth does for you eh.
By the way there is a reason there is special in special teams, Keionte we need you baby.

And completely different after the first couple of drives, and again to start the second half.
And Thorne VASTLY improved on seeing the field and decision making.

Describe both interceptions please.
To me, it looked like he threw into a crowd both plays.
We have to value the ball to compete.

Focus on the bad, ignore the good. Its the Auburn way

I’m happy we are 3-0.
I bet Brother Hugh is teaching about valuing the football each possession.
To compete, we need to be plus in turnovers.
Defense has improved week by week.

Wish we could stay healthy. That is my biggest concern heading into SEC play

What is the status of Luke Deal.
His injury looked severe.

The first one ole gator arms houks let the ball hit him in the shoulder pads, just like last week when he barely lifted his arms above his head and caused an int. I dont know where else the ball could have been thrown better.
Second, very poor decision, and very similar to the fantastic catch by Fairweather last week. Last week he threw into triple coverage when a wide open crossing route was passing right in front of where he threw it, same thing last night, a wide open guy in front of where he threw it, only this time the int. Bad decision.
Many of his runs were rpo and he made the right call and ran it vs forcing it. Im glad the upcoming opponents saw it, maybe they will be a little less prone to dropping so many in coverage.....and opening up the pass more.

he threw a pass to the sidelines in the 3rd (think it was to Fairweather) that a defender on every team left on our schedule would have turned into six
that said, he made some great decisions on what appeared to be RPOs and showed some wheels

The secondary are ball hawks. Simpson has an INT in every game this year so far and we have 5 as a whole vs 6 INTs all of last season
Thorney can move (at least against an inferior opponent). Leading up to last night he had 270 career rushing yards in 3 years but had 123 last night
Thorne is also our leading rusher on the year with 140 yards
Top 3 receivers are Fair, Fairweather, Hooks
Marcus Harris is playing like a demon on the D line
Steiner needs to transfer
Battie will take one to the house as a returner. In fact I think we have the best return duo’s when Scott gets healthy (and we need him to get healthy because I don’t trust our other punt returners).
