21 passes were thrown 5 yards or less down field while we had 4 passes go for more than 15 yards down field. The problem is definitely not Beck. We are way to talented at our skill positions for this to be our offensive game plan.

What does that even mean? What should our offensive game plan be?

I’ll add we are averaging 12.4 yards per completion.

Is that considered good? By comparison, 2021 Stet was completing 10 yards per attempt.

It means that 1) they have Beck handcuffed Bc they are afraid he’s going to turn it over or
2) Beck isn’t making the right reads

I’m going to go with 1 Bc if it’s truly the same system that’s been in place(which is what I have been hearing) he should know the reads by now. And after his 3rd year and he doesn’t know the reads well that’s a bigger problem. But in my opinion that they don’t have enough trust in him to stretch the field yet. But hopefully that 3rd quarter showed Kirby that he is cable of making good throws down the field. And Beck is averaging 8 yards per completion for the season
