Florida was stupid to fire Mullen.

He may not recruit well but he was really good at developing 3 star players to the 4 and 5 stars.

That was his formula at MSU.

He likes the ESPN job now though. Doubtful he coaches again after his Florida buyout money.

Mullen wasn't recruiting at all. He was like Harsin except Muschamp left him with a decent roster.

Mullen is very solid X's and O's but you've got to have the players in the SEC.

How can you not get players at Florida?

This is going to draw a lot of hate. So be it. I do believe, and as a Kentucky fan, I know, cultures take time to build and time to break. Although I can not tell you why.

Kentucky, for at least two decades, had a culture of losing. They'd find ways to lose. Stoops hasn't turned them into winners by any means. But he's broke them of being losers. It took ten damn years, and it started before him with Rich Brooks.

Florida has always been a culture of Front Running. They've always played, since Spurrier and re-inforced with Meyer, like a pack of wolves. When things are going well ? Then Florida Fun 'N Guns and runs it up, or Tebow gives a sermon following the game.

When things don't ? They always tend to fall apart in Gainesville. Especially when they're not in Gainesville. That's nothing new, and that's not necessarily because of Billy Napier. That's the Gator Culture.

Best way to beat Florida has always been stay in their face, stay close, and don't let them get on a run. Florida has never been a team that's going to beat you by a field goal each quarter for four quarters on the way to a twelve point win. It's just not their culture.
