This is Sankeys fault Big is playing 4d chess and Sankey is playing checkers on an old cracker barrel out back.
There should be serious consequences for a screw up this big.

What specifically is his fault?
SEC Network started a decade ago under Slive, so ESPN was naturally going to go all-in for exclusive rights when the opportunity arose.
The CBS deal was also on the lower end of the spectrum, and they're the ones who reportedly backed out of negotiations for an extension.
Hindsight is 20/20, but a few years ago, the SEC looked like the smart ones for locking in a long-term deal with ESPN.

Go woke, go broke? I heard that somewhere. Not sure what it means in relationship to college football.
ESPN seems healthy. They have trimmed a bunch of cost by firing half of their on air talent. And they are broadcasting in 720 potato. That seems healthy. I am sure everything is fine.

Espn broadcast has shitty quality and SEC TV payouts much lower than B1G.
Wtf do you mean about who screwed up?

I can’t disagree. Sankey is barely a warm body. He has sat on his arse and made very few moves that helps his conference. fricking clown.

I am going to miss the production value CBS has compared to ESPN.

The production quality of the CBS broadcasts of SEC games was the best in the business.

CBS was X1000 better.
Everyone loved to complain about Verne and Gary but they represented college football at it's absolute peak imo.
Espn, besides maybe the morning college gameday segments, can never compete with those broadcasts.
