Funny story; LSU fan vs. Saban

I just had dinner with my mother's side of the family. My Uncle, who I love dearly, told me (while his granddaughter sat on his lap) that he hates Nick Saban, and Alabama. He described Saban as "A midget fig with alligator shoes". He also said "I hope when Iran gets their first nuclear bomb that they drop it on Alabama." He also said that Nick "pissed his alligator shoes in the NFL because he is not worth the farts that escape his arse..."
Of course, while highly amused I was also confused, so I asked him why so much hate? At which point he said he really doesnt care about LSU anymore (Oh really?) and that he thinks Les Miles has been lucky to have had the success he has had.
LSU fans...you really, really do need to let the Saban thing go.

I'm fairly certain that threads like this are why some Bama fans get labeled as gumps. I'm inclined to think that we have our own problems to deal with right now without worrying about Little Nicky...and the LSU/Nick Saban hoopla pretty much died out around here after the LSU/Bama game. Looks like some Bama fans just want to bring it up again and again because they are sore winners.

I understand your point. Trust me, I hear it 365 when LSU wins, and have endured it religously for the past 5 years. But that was kind of my point also. I had to endure an unsolicited attack from a family member about my Alma Mater simply because Saban is the coach there, and I relayed the anecdote of that situation here on the SEC Board. This is not about who won the game, and this is not about me or Alabama fans gloating. But I am fascinated about the attitudes from a great many LSU fans, in this case my Uncle. I don't understand the vitriol, and the hatred, and I never really will.

Like you I don't understand this "Hate Saban" Thing. The Guy thought he wanted to be an NFL coach..It did'nt work out for him. Alabama went after him AFTER Rich Rodriquez turned Bama down. If LSU was open and Alabama wasen't he probably would have returned to BR.
Saban likes coaching young people. The NFL is full of Prima donnas. If He Would have quit LSU and came straight to Tuscaloosa I could see why LSU fans are upset. Anyway Remember It's a GAME not life or death. It's Fun and Entertaining keep it that way..

Nick Saban's agent Jimmy Sexton contacted Alabama before Bama lost to Miss. St. and said that if they fired Mike Shula that Saban would be interested.
Don Shula knew this and was p#ssed off on both fronts for what he did to the Dolphins and what he did to his son.

Go research this on google. Nick Saban's name was thrown around at Bama before the Rich Rodriguez offer. Many of the Bama BOT had given up on getting Saban and went after RR, but after that blew up, one or two board members that wanted Saban convinced everyone else to wait until the end of the NFL season.

one other thing...you come on here saying WE need to let it go? You started the thread to be a little prick, go screw yourself your team FINALLY beat us. Act like you have been there within in the last 2o something years. LSU will fix the problems I am not sure if it is going to be next year, so i am not going to be one of those next year kind of guys, but year after we will be in the national champ. so screw off.
