Heupel have disappointing seasons, it will instantly become them, no matter what else happens.

A disaster at USCe could maybe bring Beamer into the discussion.

But to me, Beamer and Heupel are really hyped much to begin with.

Kiff, Kelly, yes... Perhaps even Freeze from his OM days in time. Jimbo, most definitely

I assume you mean not hyped, but both fan bases are in love with them right now. Maybe hype and potential for a one season honeymoon to end are two different things, but I'm talking more the latter.

These coaches are drastically different in the path they took to HC.
Beamer- was a special teams coach. He is a career assistant and only got the chance he did due being privileged. If he wasn’t a Beamer, he wouldn’t have gotten the chance he did at USCjr.
Everything this man has gotten in college football is because of his name and name only. In 1995, Beamer chose to walk on as a wide receiver at Virginia Tech—where his father was head coach—over an offer of a partial scholarship from Division I-AA Charleston Southern.

HC record - 2001- present, 15-11, 7-9 SEC

Now let’s take a look at Heupel

Heupel- he has had to earn his way every step of the way from player to coach. Even when he was fricked over by the Stoop brothers, he still didn’t give up and improved to the point to where he is now and the best play caller in the country.

As a player he is a BCS National Champion, MVP on championship game, college football player of the year, Consensus All-American and Heisman runner up. Not bad for a kid from South Dakota with no name to back him. Unlike Beamer, Heuple never took lateral moves to other schools. Heupel climbed through the ranks and took promotions when he changed schools.

HC record- 47-16, 19-5 in AAC, and 10-6 SEC.

Heupel has had a top 10 offense every year when he had been the OC or the HC. Heupel is the real deal.

Beamer is a fraud…. Good thing for Beamer is, that’s he’s at a school where he can win 8 games every year and sprinkle in a 9 win season every few years and he will be fine. USCjr expectations are not high and 8 wins every year will meep that administration and fan base happy.
