Definitely keep meddling. You need to be supportive and make sure she doesn’t go off the deep end one way or another.
There are a million clubs, groups, events, etc to get involved no matter your interests. Encourage her to meet as many girls in the dorm as possible. Try to attend all the dorm events, freshman events, etc as possible. She will certainly get into a group of girls before her first day of class.
Reach out to her often. She’s still your girl. Ask about things and keep encouraging her. Thousands of girls like her go off to freshman year of college. She will be fine

Athens dorm life is less social than it used to be. One of mine worked for the football team and was involved with other stuff and the other did sorority. Both also were involved with academic clubs and stuff like that. Bottom line, it can be as much or as little as you make it.

I’ll be reaching out often. I can break away and will be around for weekend visits if she’s not busy. My sister is already primed to go see her a few times a week if she needs. I guess I’ll always meddle, but I don’t want to be the dad that hovers, also can’t be the one to not.
