Y'know, if the rules stay in place long enough (which is very doubtful considering what's happening to college football), something that's possible is something that WILL happen.

My scenario of 3 undefeated SEC times isn't THAT far-fetched. Like I said, in under 5 minutes, I looked over the schedule and found 3 ranked, traditionally good teams, none of which play each other. We're not speculating on an outlier like Vandy to suddenly run the table. If they keep this schedule, it can eventually happen.

And the really funny thing is, just imagine if the team left out is the one that wins the playoff. You'd have an undefeated SEC team winning the national title, that didn't win the SEC. How weird would that be?

What's more, I did the math for 3 undefeated teams. I didn't bother to try to figure out how many 11-1 teams there could be. I suspect that could be a lot higher.

*if there's too many, there's at least a chance not all make the playoffs. And if that's the case, who do you leave out- the one that ends up with a 2nd loss in the SEC championship?
