Texas government is full blown Aggie or Aggie wannabee. They'd put a fatwa on all Muslims in the state if they could and amend it to include us Mexican Ams as well.

Oh shite, I'm giving them ideas.

Yes.

Qatar is like most middle eastern countries . . .full of angry, poor, uneducated folk and governed by a kleptocracy who profess certain religious values while binge-spending petro-dollars, whoring, drugging, and boozing all over the world.

The US in its strategic interest has leaned heavily on this small part of the world. Ever since the first Gulf War, Qatar has hosted a very large US Military presence and, like Bahrain, also quietly hosts a large US Intelligence Agency presence.

So why A&M there? The primary answer is that the leadership in that country is dedicated to transforming away from petro-dollar whoring and general poverty and they think a big part of that is building its educational system.

A&M, Northwestern, Georgetown, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and for some reason Virginia Commonwealth have all been approached and agreed to open satellite campuses in the country.

A&M makes sense as the schools leadership for a long time was tightly intertwined with U.S. Government Agencies. It started with Bush sr. luring all sorts of very senior retired Intelligence and State Department folks to the Bush School. It continued through former Secretary of Defense and CIA head Robert Gates serving as President of the school. Rick Perry, alum and former Governor, was Energy Secretary under Trump.

Once the petro-dollars inevitably stop flowing, We would rather have a collection of generally prosperous Middle Eastern countries with an educated middle class and some moderate tendencies vs the current setup.

And nice link. It sources the Epoch Times for its story.

Probably TL DR for this crowd so feel free to go back to sniffing your own farts and reading crank media clickbait if so.
