Religious group organizes to stop Catholic charter school in Oklahoma.

Various Jewish groups (the ACLU, Americans United and the media). have sued to stop Oklahoma from issuing a charter to a Catholic group in Oklahoma. To no one's surprise, the Jewish groups claim a Catholic charter school will inevitably discriminate against gay or transgendered 1st graders. The elementary age children are, of course, the focus of such groups.

Yeah, or they could just choose not to send THEIR kids to that charter school…problem solved. So tired of the ACLU…they need to take the “A” out of the name

I don't have a problem with it getting blocked. It's PUBLIC FUNDED. The public shouldn't be funding religious schools.

Hmmm. Not a simple issue, but I think there is a big difference between allowing a public Catholic school and a voucher/scholarship program that allows public money to be spent at private Catholic schools.

It's amazing how being religious was seen as a public asset in days gone by. Now it's seen as a liability.
"Separation of church and state" also used to be seen as a protection of the church from the state. Now it's seen as a protection of the state from the church.

This is why the Jews get punished by God is when they get stupid about God's creation of a man and a woman....
