can’t not think of a “classic” game from the rivalry
From 2000-09, one team from that rivalry participated in the national title game 6 times in 10 years.

There's been plenty of classic, one-possession games since '09, too.

If you ever get a chance, you should catch a game in person. It's a good time.

Yeah, I think that would be a bucket list item.

What is the rivalry like? Do Texas and Oklahoma hate each other?

While I agree it is definitely a big game, LSU/Alabama had 6 appearances over 10 years in the title game as well (2003-2012) resulting in 5 NC's (insane percentage when you consider the only loss was by LSU to Bama), yet there is no name for that game and we aren't even rivals according to Bama fans. 3 other seasons in that stretch, SEC teams won the NC, which would help explain why the LSU/Bama, while huge, is just one of many huge conference games.

I fully expect Texas/OU to add to the list of traditional big SEC games. It should be fun.
