If you don't win it with that cake walk of a schedule you should be ashamed of yourselves.

That's cute and everything, but by definition the CFP winner has to beat a top 4 team in consecutive weeks. In 2021 Georgia beat #2 and #1 in back to back weeks. Last season we beat #4 and #3 in back to back weeks..

Any national champion of the CFP era should never have to apologize for a national championship. LSU fans should know this.

It's not like 1998, when Tennessee in the post season only had to beat Mississippi State and the frigging Red Rooster led Florida State squad to win the national title

This

Has to be one of the weakest schedules I've seen in recent memory, let alone for a returning champion

I get that part of the issue is OU being removed, but whatever the reasoning, it's still a woefully weak SOS and anything short of reaching the playoffs is an abject failure

You realize whoever we play in the playoffs isn't on our current 12 game schedule, right?

If we don't make it to the SECCG, I'd agree. The schedule can't take us any further than that. If we win it all, we're likely gonna have to win three straight games against top ten opponents.

Never understood people complaining about weak schedules if they can't beat those teams that played them. If your team goes to where they are based on a weak schedule, it should be easy to expose.

For instance, Cincinnati and Notre Dame in the past were exposed.

Clemson, though they did play a weak schedule, not so much.

If only we could win it with that 12 game schedule. Unfortunately the SECCG and playoffs follow.

You didn't forget how difficult it could be in the SECCG, did you?

I mean, last season LSU had a schedule similar to ours this year and didn't win the title.
