By law, Texas must admit all in-state applicants who were ranked within the top 6% of their graduating class. Outside of those auto-admits, the acceptance rate is about 10%.

As if Texas is the only state that has this kind of law.

Based on this criteria, just about all these other school's acceptance rates would be lower.

Texas is NOT on par academically with USC, Duke, UCLA, etc.
