To the person that posted about stetson and WSB thanks you inspired this

I want to know what others think the deal with COX Media runs out 2026 with everything going on with the AJC and COX media I dont think they'll resign...

I have a few in mind

680 the fan 92.9 the Game 93.1 the Super-stations

Those are only a few its hard because most of Georgia's stations are cox media stations lol

I would actually love for 99x to become a Georgia affiliate atleast for basketball that would be ??????

It will go to highest bidder.

Cox has let a lot go (falcons, Braves, hawks). I don't see them letting uga go. It is all they have left.

They let the braves go because they get better ratings with Hannity than the baseball game. It made business sense for them.

With uga it's different. WSB has nothing on Saturdays that would come close to the game broadcast. And for uga, wsb radio has the most powerful tower in the southeast with a giant range.

I wonder if this means guys like Kevin Butler, Hondo, Howard, Loran, and Dantzler would be replaced? Those guys have been doing UGA radio for decades now. Shockley was a good addition but be cool to see some other more recent Dawgs join up.

As much as I enjoy listening to those guys I wouldn’t be surprised. Everything else we love about college football has been getting destroyed lately by people who think they know better than us what we want.

I have changed my mind.

Although 680 doesn't have near the terrestrial radio range as am750/95.5 FM (WSB), 680's app is superior to WSB's. I rarely tune into the WSB radio broadcast during a game on the actual radio channel, it's generally through the live stream on my phone which I throw to a bluetooth speaker (JBL). I can do the exact same thing with 680's app. I've been doing it with brave games lately and the 680 stream has much less buggy bullshite and lagginess as WSB.

So frick Cox media and WSB. Take it to 680 (a Dickey broadcasting station).

Also, nobody’s talking about what the future holds for WNGC. I believe it’s also Cox-owned.

The Georgia broadcasts not being on 106.1 is a very strange concept. The Dawg Talk Postgame/Solid Gold Saturday Night double-header is iconic.

This is the most likely. But they are also the Tech flagship so I don't know if that would be viable.

They already have the Hawks, Falcons and United.

I forgot about that. 680 would have to find a way out of that contract. Which, I'm sure they already are trying like hell to get out of it.
