You could pick 10 other seasons that make more sense than that if you just wanted to randomly pick another one as a national title (and could have in 1980s when we did it) (would have still been embarrassing).

Agreed. 1941 is garbage. I almost feel like Bama clings to 1941 because of the way we got hosed in '66 and '77.
