His family is from I believe Batesville, Arkansas.
He grew up a hog fan and wanted to go to Arkansas but he didn't want to play under Houston Nutt who didn't develop QBs. So he went to Michigan.
He stayed a year but Petrino got hired and transferred to Arkansas in 2008.

Lincoln Ar is where he was before they moved to Texarkana. I dont think they were ever in Batesville, but, I could be wrong.

I first heard of him in high school. He was an elite QB prospect and five star recruit. I just looked up his class. Jimmy Clausen and Joe McNight were the two biggest names at the time in that 2007 class.
Eric Berry, Cam Newton, Aaron Hernandez, Dez Bryant, Everson Griffen, and Stephen Garcia are some others that were blue chippers that year.
