3* Tyler Carter commits to Mississippi State

Three star DL 6' 6" 250lbs. He was not rated when I first heard of him.
247 gave him an initial rating of 88 and with only them and rivals his composite is 86 or so.
Not all 3 stars are created equal. This guy turned heads at our camp. Where has he been? Playing baseball. He played one year of football and only went to one camp because of travel ball. State is his only P5 offer that I saw but. This is a guy that I expect to contribute a lot down the road.
I like this take, he may even end up getting bumped up to a mid 4 before it's over. ESPN and ON3 surely will get around to rating him at some point.

Probably needs to redshirt and put on a few pounds. Still, like you said, not all 3-stars are created equal. Mike Evans was a 3* that was strictly a basketball player until his junior year at Ball. Seems to have worked out OK.

Ya he is my pick for low rated Mississippi DL that blows up late in the process.
