2 of these 8 will make a 12 game playoff every season. I'd bet that 3 will 80% of the time and 4 will somewhere around 50% of the time....going undefeated for a season in the SEC is going to be INFINITELY harder going forward....its going to be some good football for certain.

Yep, I agree. Making the playoffs is the number one goal. With just 4 teams, winning the SEC basically meant you would be one of those 4 teams. But that won’t be true anymore with 12 teams making it.
Making a 12 team playoff > Making Atlanta
Similar to baseball.
Making Omaha > winning SEC Regular Season or SEC Tournament.
Similar to basketball.
Making Final 4/8/16 > winning SEC Regular Season or SEC Tournament.
In a perfect world, I would prefer to go 12-0, head to Atlanta, win the SEC Championship, then go to the 12 team playoff, but making the 12 team playoff is the main goal.
