Munson was joking about the girders bending at the Gator Bowl as far back as ‘75 and again about needing to tear the damn thing down in ‘80. Only finally did it get torn down for good a whole 15 years later 
place was a fricking death trap full of liquored up assholes and degenerates, Skynyrd should’ve written a song about it given that it represented their true hometown
