i have heard all this talk of how lsu fans are obsessed with saban and need to just let it go but take a good look around and see just how many bama fans come on our message board daily and talk shite...it just seems the other way around to me!

What Bama fan is obsessed with LSU? Show me. Just because we are on this board doesn't mean we are obsessed. Did you ever think we like to post here? Why only Bama fans? Yeah we have some that like to talk shite, but what fans don't.

I think the reason why the majority of fans come from other schools to this website is because of the humor.The meltdowns on this website when people are pissed are priceless no matter what fan base they are from. Plus all the other SEC forums suck.

if you would have read the post i specifically said that lsu fans are always heckled for being obsessed with bama and saban but i dont see our fans having to find a bama board to hang out on to post things about our school...i just find it amusing that after you have beaten us that you still come back week after week...i find it ok to come around the weeks leading up to a game with us or the week after but this isnt the case here

For the most part, we're here along with fans from every school to banter and talk shop. Sometimes the flames hit, but most of the time it's in good fun. All one has to do is go over to the Tiger Rant to get a dose of the Saban talk by your fans, we don't bring it up, until someone brings it up, like you. Then it's to aggravate you, because we know it does.
I just hate that it is such a down season, because a couple games into this season, this board had alot of action going on. I guess it just seems like Bama fans, because some of the others have tapered off on posting from the other schools somewhat.
But the main reason we come to the SEC Rant, and other parts of the board on occasion, is that this is the best board out there imho. Other boards are quick to ban, but this one allows differing view points and doesn't subscribe to the lovefest of only one school. Being able to talk honestly about your own program and others is refreshing and right now, Chicken has the market cornered on that, and I think that is the reason this site is growing and kicking arse.

and i dont mind it all i like talkin shite with you gumps i just hate the ones that think the sun rises and sets in T-Town...really you havent done anyhting yet...and as far as the meltdowns go to any message board in the world of sports and the same happens! all in all though i enjoy it...i just dont understand how we get the title of being obsessed with bama when you come to our message boards?

hey i agree with you totally and bama fans like you i have no problem with its the little pricks that think you have the only successful program in the nation and the season isnt even over yet!! that being said we all have our fans that can be smartasses even the all might lsu

On the plus side for you, after football season, I won't be around much as I pretty much hate basketball, but I'll prolly hang on the Political board, a little on the O/T and I check the Food and drink board daily. That's yet another reason I come here, no other place has what this one has to offer in variety either.

I read your post just fine. I still don't understand the obsesssion with having to ask why we post here on the SEC rant. Do you want it to strictly be LSU fans posting on the SEC board? What fun would that be? I don't talk shite about anyone's team...I like reading the stuff and posting. I don't see anything wrong with that, but again that is just my opinion.

and that's why your not an admin. do you realize that tigerdroppings is one of the most popular sports message boards in the country, yet you would like for everyone but lsu fans to leave? don't think that chicken and the others would agree. if you don't like to read the stuff that opposing fans post then you most certainly don't have to read it nor comment on it. you don't want to hear what opposing fans have to say, then stay off the SEC RANT, instead go play with the other tigers on the tiger rant. the majority of people on here like to come and have good conversation about sports, college football for the most part. certainly there is going to be banter going back and forth that is angry, condescending, and in some cases totally absurd, but hey, who wants to visit a site that's all the time gum drops and fairy tails, if you want that then I bet there are some great interior decorating boards you can visit. All in all, get over it, people say stuff and a lot of times, your not going to agree with it, nor like it, but hey, you don't like it, don't read it.
ETA: I like tigerdroppings, and I have posted on a lot of the boards here. I'm not one to get on here and talk smack saying oh, we're the best team that has ever played the game and everyone should bow down to us. I can talk football level headed and without the crimson glasses on. So, my reason for coming here is that I just simply enjoy interacting with other fans.

i dont want to be an admin. would cut half the dumbasses off of here just for being stupid lsu fans included...and as earlier stated im not wanting other teams to stop posting one here i agree that with the help of other schools' fans it is the best message board in the country i just dont see how we are labeled as being obsessed with bama so much...ask the dolphins fans they hate that dick of a coach you have also...granted he is one hell of a coach and has brought you guys a long way in a little amount of time

Just to reiterate what others said (and I have no feelings on this whole Saban/LSU/Bama thing, that is between all ya'll)...this board is the best SEC board I have come across. If I wanted to only drink the UGA Kool-Aid, or wallow in desperation after a loss (the week after Florida was awful enough, no need to have it retold with who we should be firing stories), I would stay on the dawgvent.
I would rather, as a fan of the sport, come here and hear other viewpoints (no matter how stupid they are sometimes) just to keep an open mind, and maybe even have a spiritied debate or two.
Besides I can go to the O-T and see WYHI and other pics of ladies and ridiculous crap no other site has.
Sorry, here to stay unless banned.

and thats all cool im not saying i would rather other teams fans leave i just am stating that bama fans are just as much into lsu losing and failing as lsu fans want saban to never win a game again...it has nothing to do with any of you leaving the board that the last time i am stating this...i enjoy other teams fans on here because quite honestly we as lsu fans have some idiots on here that you cant carry on a conversation with at all

thats all i wanted to hear...i for one am not worried about saban...i hate him for the same reasons he is hated in miami thats all... i enjoy the heckling with you bama fans and all other fans i just wanted to get the point out that we are all obsessed with the enemy to a certain point!
