Uhhhmmm, They already got a freebe with a serious inventory upgrade with the addition of two blue bloods

Uhhhmmm. No.
The contract stipulated that there was no renegotiation in terms of financial incentive to each team (the pot went up from ESPN. But no more than to make sure that all 16 teams saw no reduction in funds from the TV deal).
It was already in the previous negotiation. There is no freebie when it is already addressed that espn would pay a specific amount more.

You don't think Texas and Oklahoma wouldn't have made the last renegotiation more lucrative if they were added before?

See above.
Adding OU and UT was a power play to keep them out of the big X. Espn knew we were adding teams. The BigXII was an obvious target.

A ninth conference is more and better inventory to choose from and they would get that totally for free while all the schools would actually loose money by loosing .5 home games.

How and why is it better inventory?
Just because you say so?
Just because people parrot it?
Why?

Because Texas/Oklahoma are going to replace prime slots from mid to even some upper tier SEC schools and draw huge numbers.

You get the Red River Shootout under the Disney umbrella.

That 9th conference is going to come at the expense of a pay to play home game. not the power 5 game that SEC teams have to schedule.

Contracts are signed, and Disney has no obligation to pay more, but no matter how you slice it, they are getting more for the same distribution. Speaking of contracts. Seems the B1g's contract isn't signed, and some of the big boys are unhappy about a few things. The way that plays out will be interesting.

Because an SEC game is better than a game featuring Louisville, Ga Tech, any G5, or any FCS. That’s why.

And the MAJORITY of teams that would be going to a 9th conference game would be dropping either a G5 or an FCS school, meaning it’s much better inventory
