He's better off trying to elevate something or hit it hard somewhere - especially when he got to 2-0. If he strikes out or doesn't hit in deep enough, you at least keep your runner at 3rd.

Personnel had something to do with it. Rowland hasn't been a very reliable stick in the lineup all year. It was probably even odds either way.
