Can't speak for OP, but I was thinking in terms of a super conference scenario — maybe 4 conferences of 16 teams that compete for the CFP. The remaining teams play in the bowl game system, or have their own playoffs.
Promotion or relegation between the CFP league and the bowl league.

It's bad enough that this shite is going this way.
You FAFO and sending teams to the junior leagues it's gonna get worse. Saban isn't gonna be at bama forever. What happens if y'all go on a big slump? You're gonna be in the MAC or some shite.
