My wife and daughter took my 10 year old grandson to the game today, I wasn’t able to go, and my wife told me it’s the best game atmosphere and fans she’s ever seen. None of us have been there before and the way folks around them treated them was outstanding.
They were in section 110 up above the visitor’s dugout I believe and were treated great and had a great time.
If any of you were there just know how much this means to an old Hog fan and how much my grandson enjoyed his first Hog baseball game.
Thank you.

That’s awesome. At one point in the 7th inning (I think) SCar sent the pitching coach out there and the crowd called the hogs and Phil just let the crowd audio take over for a minute and it was so loud that it was blowing out the mic sound a little bit.
Might’ve been the biggest crowd of the year so far

In my experience we tend to have great fans for any sporting event in Fayetteville. That having been said, the Baum fans are probably the friendliest folks you could hope to find wearing Razorback red.

I was at the mexican restaurant across the street with my family and drank a couple of long Island ice teas. I couldn't drive at that moment and decided to buy some tickets to the pigpen.
I took pictures with the number one Arkansas fan Canaan Sandy. He dressed up in an Arkansas wrestling costume.
The crowd was huge which was announced at 11,000.

Doesn’t surprise me that the huge crowd coincided with commencement weekend. I’m sure a lot of people planned the weekend around it

Baseball fans in general aren't as shitty as football fans. And that's even people who like both baseball and football.
Football is too zero-sum for as little parity is in the college game. You get 12 games. If you lose more than one, the chance for NC is over. If you lose more than one conference game in this league, you've generally lost the chance to play for a conference title. Sometimes even just one. If you drop a game the first or second week against an unranked opponent, your season is pretty much over right when it starts, and you waited eight months for it.
In baseball and basketball, you can afford to hit a rough skid. The tournaments make everyone feel like they still have a chance. And it's impossible for five or six teams to hoard all the talent and go to the playoffs every year in baseball.
