Booked Monday night on 4 misdemeanors including DUI of drugs.

Dom going to Tech sucks. Wanted to be able to root for him in his new spot. Can a Tech transfer get a DGD designation?

10:00am DUI - quite the feat

Speeding and following too closely while high…not even 6 months since we lost a player and student working for the AD for being under an influence and speeding

Honestly, I would not be surprised nor upset if he is gone.

I thought I read he was pulled over at like 330am. One of the misdemeanors was driving between 10pm to 5am with a class d license. Had never heard of that before.

I think Dom did enough time to get that DGD label. So far as I know he was never a problem child and caught just about every ball thrown his way.

Word

Emerson posted this on the Athletic

quote:

Georgia sophomore receiver De’Nylon Morrissette was arrested early Monday and charged with four misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of drugs.

Morrissette was booked in Oconee County, the county that adjoins Athens, at 3:33 a.m. Monday, according to jail records. He was charged with DUI, driving too closely, driving too fast for conditions and violating Class D restrictions of not driving between midnight and 5 a.m.

From what I've heard, Dom to GT was a done deal pretty much as soon as he entered the portal, just waiting to finish school before he announced. Hope he can stay healthy, he'll definitely be the #1 target if so.

He will have in-house punishment and will suit up in 2023.

Hope he stays healthy as well. Surprising to hear he would be the number one target, though I know nothing about your roster.

What will be a successful season for Key in the fans' eyes?

If he had stayed healthy here he would’ve been in the top 3 targets a few years.

Yeah but he obviously isn't the same player post injuries.

This’ll be 3 years removed from the injuries. He has gotten better every year. Tech isn’t exactly overrun with talent. Haynes King is a competent, above-average QB. If healthy, Blaylock most certainly can be their # 1 target.

Vegas is still uncertain and has 3.5 wins set for O/U. Everybody I know is hammering the over hard, and IMO, absolute low bar is go bowling. The only 2 games that our opponents can 100% dictate this year are you guys and Ole Miss. Clemson will out talent us but they've just not been the same Clemson for 2 years now. We took them to the wire 2 years ago and were in it until late in the game last year when Charlie Thomas got booted for targeting... got out of hand quick after that. 2 gimme games in SC State and Bowling Green, and everybody else on our schedule is beatable. UNC/Miami probably pose the next biggest threats but we've had both of their numbers lately. Hell even Geoff Collins beat them. I think Dom can shine here because we lost Leo Blackburn to another ACL tear this spring. He was set to be "the guy" at WR. We have Malik Rutherford shifty slot returning, some good talent but younger guys, and a couple other transfers at WR but if Dom can get back to his performance pre-injuries, he'll definitely be fighting for one of the top target spots.

Nah. Gotta draw the line somewhere. Dude can probably play at a lot of places and chooses to play for a deep-seated rival. If you can go to Tech and still be a DGD where exactly is the bar?

Nice good info, thanks for that. I'll be pulling for Dom. What's the buzz on the offense with Buster? Feeling good about that hire?

Suspend him for the first 2 games of the season and then again for week 4. That should teach him.

obviously fricking not. It's a paradox of the most basic order to suggest a "damn good dawg" could leave here and play for tech. It's just not possible.

With that said I have ZERO against dom and do wish him well personally. All he ever did was keep his head down, work hard, and produce. Kinda crazy we didn't throw to him more consiering the caught EVEYRTHIGN we threw to him. I guess there just wasn't enoguh targets to go around so I can't really blame him for wanting ot stand out somewhere else.

It’s like winning the Men’s Decathlon in 76 and then winning a bigger award for dressing like a girl 40 years later
