It's a disservice to players to lie about them to NFL scouts because then NFL scouts stop trusting you and it trickles down to screwing over players who deserve praise. You don't want your head coach to have the reputation of blowing smoke to NFL execs. You want them to be credible so that if a player does need a boost, they'll trust the coach

You need to give them honest evaluations though, or they're not going to respect your input.
