If Dart beats out Sanders, Sanders likely transfers again to start somewhere his senior year and Howard, once again, is 2nd string this year and in line to start next year

Sanders has 1 year of eligibility left and only because of COVID. He can only transfer down a division and play again. Dart would also have to sit out a year if he transfers. He already used his one penalty free transfer.

Sanders can technically grad transfer in the fall if he graduates after the spring or summer sessions.

I think Dart could graduate by December and grad transfer again in the offseason.

All of that said, I think the spring game will mostly be Dart vs. Howard. Dart isn't losing the starting job. Sanders' throwing shoulder hasn't been 100% so he hasn't been full speed throwing in the spring.

From all reports, bringing Sanders and Howard in appears to have really lit a fire under Dart. He has been lights out in practice.
