Is this a big problem from the student body at Bama?
Do African American Players at Bama run into this a lot from the Frat system? From looking at the pictures of the fraternity where the 2 frat boys called Rolando McClain the "N" word it looks like it may be a big problem. Incident Article Frat House Website There is still a lot of racism in the Deep South(Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina) and I wonder how often it raises its head on Campus at Alabama. Anyone know? I cannot believe this stuff still happens.

Did you just move to the deep south? I graduated from Bama at the end of '05. The amount of racial tension in that state is pathetic and I have experienced it on both sides. I have lived in Louisiana too and it's really not much different. The frat system at Bama is still segregated too, isn't that kinda sad?
I live in Houston now and you can totally tell the difference. I work for a company based in Birmingham and you should hear some of the stuff I've heard from EDUCATED people after Obama won.
If you think this is just at UA or in the state of AL, you should get out more.

This reminds me of the typical frat douce with a confederate flag license plate on the front of the Chevy Z-71 blaring a rap song with the windows rolled down....

I'm aware that it exists everywhere. For it to continue to be acceptable behavior in a big way within the Greek Fraternity System at Alabama is horrible. This is condoned from the top leadership at the University of Alabama and other Deep South Schools and that is why it exists. It needs to be cleaned up and thrown out with the trash. When I looked at the "Brothers Picture" it was sad but laughable. These college frats from Alabama's Delta Tau Delta think excluding Blacks from their fraternity is completely okay because they know they have past fraternity members in all areas of leadership at the University of Alabama and businesses all over Alabama including Big Alum money. I'm sure Alabama is doing all they can to sweep this under the rug as quickly as possible.

No way, Bama is way worse than LA when it comes to racism...it definitely exists in LA, but Bama is a different animal.

Racism is everywhere. It will always be around. It has been around forever. Nothing is going to change.
Also, my family settled in Penn. once they got of the boat from Ireland, and having gone up north to visit them in the past, the north is more racist than the south. Damn, it's horrible up there.

One other reason why it hasn't changed is because blacks want segregated fraternities too.

Yeeeeeah, racism is so bad here in the south, which is why we have the largest portion of the black population in the country. Nice try Bill Maher

Oh, so it's their fault.

Here's the deal in the South:
If they play for your rival,
they are N*****. If they play
for your team, they are Black.
Sad, but true with a lot of
people in the South.

Blacks not just want segregated frats, but universities, scholarships, magazines, cable stations, award shows, etc. Racism is now directed towards whites by blacks, but you won't dare hear the liberal media point out that fact

Depends on what you think "racism" is.

When you hear of arrests of Klan members and folks who harm African Americans in a town or state that is a clear sign that it is being cleaned up. When you don't hear of arrests and things swept under the rug that says they it is acceptable behavior. I'm happy to see Louisiana enforcing the law.
