I think you're right. Wave more money in the kids face and he suddenly gets less concerned about how many square feet the weightroom is.

Our's are good and comparable to what they need to be.
They were state of the art when built, but Texas will not revamp them every 5 years just because. Given the limitations of being in an urban environment, landlocked a mile from the State Capitol Building, Texas only uses eminent domain for Academic necessities, not Sports wants.
With the exception of the Moody Center, they are sports facilities with limited uses other than their intended purpose.
