How long can Gates keep Young on staff? I feel he has been a huge help this year in many ways. Not just recruiting...

Yeah. That is the issue. It is hard to keep the assistants when people start throwing money at them. Pat Summit used to say the main reason she had so many good teams was that she convinced her AD to pay her assistants extremely well.

Young is a really good Asstistatnt Coach. He gets paid more than most Head Coaches do that aren’t at a P5/P6 school. At the beginning of the season $600,000 and he probably makes more since Gates new contract. The HC at Georgia Southern is making $230,000. He didn’t have a good record at his only HC job at GS he was 43-84.

As a HC at Georgia Southern from 10-13:
9-23
5-27
15-15
14-19

We can probably keep him unless a P5/P6 school hires him.
