Oh there it is again. The “almost there and can’t do anything about it” excuse

I feel your 3rd option is less likely because who texts someone a message about needing something back if they know that person has no idea they’re riding around with it

Maybe he didn’t read the text prior to arrival. Maybe he read it just as he was pulling up. But we don’t know when he read it. You would think if he read it at a time that was favorable to his situation, his attorney would tell us. Unless I’ve missed it, The University hasn’t commented on this question or confirmed whether they are inquiring into it.

Alabama has already made its decision that Miller did nothing wrong. They’re not going to indict him outside of the courtroom. We’re just going to have to wait to see what comes up. This is not me condoning what bama is doing just merely observing.
