I am an attorney that does criminal defense some.

I’ve had clients with less involvement in a bad situation be charged and/or indicted.

If the police wanted to they could have easily charged him and had a preliminary hearing.

They could, but they won’t. He absolutely would be charged with something but for who he is and who he plays for.
