Some of this will pass in a couple of weeks after the coordinator decisions wear on. I have been negative about the OC hire, but I won't bring it up anymore. I am over my initial disappointment. There are a couple of posters who will remind us of their long-standing displeasure with the coordinators with every bad play-call in the fall. And there will be old threads bumped calling out anyone who wasn't "sunshine pumping" when the new-hires prove their value. It is the nature of things. All of the talk and media speculation of possible candidates... men CNS may have had on slight interest in - if any - creates tension/disappointment when "our candidate" isn't chosen.

How can you be disappointed with the OC hire when they guy is yet to call one play for Bama?? I bet in 2008 you were "negative" about a not so splashy hire named Kirby Smart as the DC. Did you want Saban to make a more "splashy" hire and go out and get someone like Dan Mullen? Take a look at some of the best teams under Saban at Alabama, what were they known for? A downhill rushing attack with grit that took the will of opposing teams late in the game, with QBs that were considered "game managers." If you watched the same Alabama team I have the last couple years we need to do everything we can to keep the defense off the field as much as possible. If you look at the teams with these high powered spread/ pass heavy offenses most of them have bad defenses bc it's hard to be on the field so long. Saban has made some moves this offseason that has reminded me of the old Nick, I am all for it!
