#1 I can't speak for OU but Texas certainly has the money. There is a lot of bitterness on all sides and Texas would rather wait until 2025 then let the remaining conference members split any of its cash.

#2 This is the best situation for Texas. We will have another 7 - 8 win season in 2023 and will likely (finally) fire Sark. This gives us a year to get a new (and hopefully capable) coach ramped up before joining the SEC.

OU has the money, but why give them 80 million when you can use that 80 million for the new 175million football complex being built?

The hateful 8 will have to split their TV shares with the 4 new WAC teams over the next 2 years. OU and TEX will not be sharing their revenues....so this isn't over yet. But as someone said, everyone but, FOX, wants this done.
