Death penalties don't mean much when it would be 30 years before it is carried out.

It may turn out that Miles was a passenger and not the shooter. Even if so, he has a world of trouble to deal with and it’s all his fault for being part of the wrong crowd. The capital murder charge may get reduced, but he still should pay dearly for his actions.
