Every fan base has a few crazy idiots that aren’t great reps of your school. They aren’t worth discussing, as you admit to.
What he does on the field is worth discussing, which is why I quoted that part of your post:
17-0 with going 6/6 MVP performances on the biggest of stages = insane

Yes, but it also comes full circle to the original thread of him possibly being a “douche”. I’d 100% have an edge if I were him too. Dude was a baller and almost no one - including his own fans - believed in him is my point. Think you get what I’m saying.

Right, except Bennett has openly spoken about fans telling him to go after 2021. As well as your coach quoting this in articles and fans on here as well as elsewhere have said the same thing. But the thing about you throwing statistics around when you don’t actually have empirical data (1% lol ok) this just turns into a biased little pissing match and it’s useless to engage in a convo like this. Cheers
You complain about his saying “1%” but you are the one making it out like most of DawgNation wanted him gone. There is always a vocal minority. You said “a portion” - but you can take any topic on any team and “a portion” will be on opposite side - so why bring it up?

You’re right that there is a vocal minority. This was different, it want a minority. If there was as a minority section of the fan base it was those of us who believed in him and wanted him to start and play; the majority from 2020-2021 wanted someone else.

Reeks of bitterness, which should have dissipated after 17-0. For him to respond that way during a massive CELEBRATION, from a question posed by DJ Shockley of all people, was out of place and odd.

Or maybe y’all are reading too much into it. He’s probably still hungover lmao

Maybe he misunderstood the question, which led to an odd answer

It’s pretty rare for any - even a small percent of the fanbase - to openly not want their reigning Championship MVP back. I think it’s safe to say the majority of fans of other championships teams don’t have that openly being discussed after their team wins a ship. Let alone a program that hadn’t won a championship in 4 decades.
Man y’all are a sensitive bunch.

No. He was specifically talking about AFTER the 2021 season.

The Gators are never happy with their QBs. They trash them, threaten them and run them off

I can certainly understand why most of don’t like Stet and UGA, from whence many arse whippins have come.

People normally don’t like people who beat them

Not sure who you are talking to or what you are talking about.
That said I am responding only to the statement I quoted.
Every fan base is like that. We had people that rolled Aaron Murray's yard when he was our QB. We had fans on our board talk about Bennett before we won last year, and as already been mentioned above we had a couple even say "NO!" when he announced he was returning ...and that was on our board.
All that said, I do agree with djs that it was a minority, but they were a bit vocal about it, and when you hear people saying stuff like that it can seem like a lot more people than it actually is.
