Alabama wins 75% of their games on the national signing days. Especially on defense, pure talent advantage should result in an adequate unit by statistical measurements.

The problem with Golding is any team Alabama has played under his watch with a decent offensive coordinator and good talent has hosed them. Mike Leach’s (RIP) 5 play offense is about the only scheme he had a decent handle on. To be sure, his playcalling style and scheme seems to be ideal for an opponent that isn’t committed to run-pass balance.

The only games against good offenses that good give us issues where I felt we played a really solid game since 2019 were.......

- 2021 Ole Miss
- 2020 Ohio State

I think we all gave him a pass in 2019 because of the injuries and youth on defense, but 2020-2022 were just a consistent line of games in which we either let bad offenses hang around or just flat out played like arse

2020 Ole Miss, 2020 Florida, 2021 Arkansas, 2021 Texas A&M, 2021 Florida, 2022 Arkansas, 2022 Texas A&M, 2022 Tennessee, 2022 LSU, 2022 Ole Miss, 2022 Auburn
