Richt had the same advantages but went w/out a SECC for 10 years and was routinely out recruited by Bama,LSU and
Florida the 2nd half of his tenure.

What you will not admit was Richt recruited honestly and he lost out of many good GA players to coaches who would pay those recruits money. One of the main reasons Smart was a very good selection at UGA. Notice how many fans complained about Smarts on the field coaching, but never about recruiting. When recruiting surpassed with his coaching, it produced wins. That was due to keeping the instate players with money under the table early and now with NIL.

So why did he recruit so well at the beginning of his career? He also recruited well his last 2 years but by that time it was too little and late.

Why in the world would they complain about his recruiting?
