When TT beats Okie St., they will jump the gumps, even if they beat LSU. What do yall think?

wouldn't bother me in the least. TT will lose to OU the following week anyway.

No way. An Alabama victory over the defending national champion in Baton Rouge holds more weight then Texas Tech beating a one-loss OK State team at home.

The coaches who vote will probably only look at the respective rankings and the score to figure it out. Computers will do the same. In this scenario TT > UA

Mistake on last post: computers don't factor in margin of victory (which is a mistake IMO)

My thoughts were just the rankings as they currently are has Okie St higher in the bcs. That will pull more weight than Alabama can muster with a win over the Tigers.

I think the biggest thing effecting BCS will be what Penn St does. If you assume both Bama and TT win (one of those will likely lose - hopefullly Bama), they will probably stay about the same in voting. If PSU looks ugly or loses at Iowa (also unlikely), then TT will definitely take over #2 in both voting polls which should help their BCS avg a bunch. It will be close either way, but I think Bama maintains #1 in that scenario.

Good Point. My bad, I forgot about the impact of the computer polls on the BCS. I was just thinking about the coaches and media polls.

With the way the schedules are right now. Bama just has to win to stay on top. It's Bama's to lose.

We'll be happy to remove that burden of maintaining #1. What a distraction it must be for you.

It doesn't really matter. If Bama wins out, then we're in the national championship game. If we lose any game, then we're not.

What ranked opponents do you have left on your schedule to match TT?

We don't have to be number 1 to play for the national title. The top 2 teams play.

However LSU and Florida would be ranked teams.

Florida is not on your schedule. Penn St can remain #2 with their schedule.

If Penn St., Tex Tech, and Bama all go undefeated, I think we all know Penn St. is the odd team out. take off the anti-bama glasses and anyone can see this

Sad to us but true. You guys can probably already figure out who I'll be rooting for on Saturday in Baton Rouge.

Of course we need to win at Kinnick but we usually take care of things after a bye so hopefully we win and keep hope alive.
