Go with the lowest drop (heel to toe difference) and the lowest stack height (overall height of the sole from the ground) that feels comfortable to you. Oh, and a neutral shoe.

My new Xero's get here tomorrow.

That zero drop is tough the older you get though. The lowest I’ve ever trained in was 4mm. Gave me some issues in race one time and I went back to traditional ones. I’ve been in Mizuno Wave Riders for most of the last 10-12 years and they are a 12mm.
Plus if you are still heel striking in the zero drop or your cadence is too low (under 180 spm) it can really aggravate the Achilles.
They are great for people who have good form, but don’t do that much to encourage it if you are still a heel striker
