Forbes on Jaylon Smith’s bowl injury…

“The torn ACL was bad. The nerve damage was worse. There were fears Smith would never play football again – let alone at an elite level. One top NFL scout I contacted said Smith was a top-10 prospect. Another top scout believed Smith might have gone in the top five.

Instead, he fell to No. 34, where he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys. Smith signed a four-year, $6.495 million contract. Had Smith gone, say, No. 7 overall, he would have signed a four-year contract worth $18.191 million.”

$12 million bet. Yeah, he’d do the same.

So your one example, from thousands of college football players, was one guy from 7 years ago who was still a first- round pick?

Lol, dumbass.

No. Actually there are important things other than money to some people.

And income increases beyond 6 figures have been found to have little or no impact on personal happiness.

Jaylon Smith even said, “But you don’t go in the game thinking, ‘Oh man I’m going to get hurt.’ That was my decision, and I love it. And I wouldn’t change it. If I knew that I was going to get hurt and wasn’t going to be a top-five pick again, I would have literally played in that game again because of my teammates and how much Notre Dame means to me.”

Then have their agents buy them a $100 million dollar injury policy for 30 days.
