Why did he risk his livelihood against Baylor and the week before against Kansas, both just as meaningless.
It’s his right, but it’s a shitty argument.
Why play this year at all?

Kinda weird how quickly this mindset has become socially acceptable. “Opt outs” were fairly rare until recently. Now they’ve become not only accepted but even encouraged by fan bases, and we’re surprised when they don’t happen.
I think that’s a shitty reflection on the state of affairs.

Which bowl game being played is a factor? You saying players play harder depending on what bowl they are in? If that's the case then someone isn't giving their all when called upon.

But he risked it for ULM and UTSA?

The Alamo Bowl is in the same tier as the Citrus Bowl and has the highest payout of any non NY6 bowl game. It gets the #2 Big 12 and Pac 12 teams just like how the Citrus gets the #2 SEC and Big 10 teams.
If the Alamo and Citrus bowls are shitty than it would mean there are only 6 good bowls.

By your analogy, he should have sat out all seasons for fear of injury.
