Like I had mentioned a month ago or so, Golding is gone for the stuff that happened (drinking, trash talking) etc. Saban always wants a landing pad if possible for these guys. The Ole Miss talks are pretty heavy from what I’m to understand. If he didn’t find a place it would be a Co Situation until his contract is up. I’m looking forward to seeing how we move on from this.

We know Saban does right by his staff publicly but we also know that he does hold accountability. Golding in large part is what cost Alabama a playoff berth this year. The defense never performed to their talent level and really have not his entire time in leadership.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out but I can’t imagine him being here without another adult in the room actually doing the management over defense.

Spending 1.6 million on a lame duck position coach seems very not good.

Thank you, Boz. Any word or even a hint that Golding might actually finally be leaving the building is music to my ears.
