O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Saviour’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn

Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains He shall break
For the slave is our brother
And in His Name
All oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy
In grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy Name

Christ is the Lord
O praise His Name forever
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim

Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine
O night divine

No other religion has a God sacrificing himself to his people…usually it’s the other way around. God bless everyone reading this and those that aren’t.

What charlatan would announce his coming being born in the filth and disgrace of a barn amongst livestock and shepherds? Who would believe that a king would be born of such disgrace and pitiful poverty?

If I was to fabricate a story of a savior, I would skip the poverty and disgrace to make it more palatable, yet we are here on Christmas Eve.

Christmas is a sad and lonely time to many. If you are alone and disconcerted, seek God and he will respond. Go to your local church and connect with people that love you no strings attached.

It takes a while for a lot of folks to find what they've been looking for. Me too.

People that don’t feel connected to anything can go to a decent church and immediately connect with people that they have never met. These people deeply connect with them. It’s not because these people are infallible and amazing. They are called to do so despite the faults and shortcomings and can build amazing relationships. Sometimes, people just need someone to lean on and listen.

Our family of 5 legit prayed for you tonight. You are (at a minimum) as completely inept and worthless as myself. Thank God we are graciously offered a way out. We only have to ask for a life raft. God bless.

The God that created all that exists suffered horrendously for people like me, you, and that fella who is trashing your beautiful post. I can’t help but love Him. This is a wonderful time of year. For those who have pain this time of year, I pray that you will find peace. I know a guy who can help with that!

This is the GOAT O Holy Night. It brings tears to my eyes.

YouTube - Faith Hill - The GOAT

Without Jesus Christ I'd be a dead man laying in a ditch somewhere from an OD or I'd have bullet holes in me. He saved me. He gave me a new life, name, home, and family. I'm blessed to know him, forever grateful, and I'll take part in his resurrection because he is good. I was scum, but he had mercy on me. Thank you Jesus!!!

Excellent post. I love this song. But Little Drummer Boy is my favorite. Merry Christmas!
