Just my opinion but have no idea why anyone would contribute to NIL. Scholarship athletes receive free education, housing, meals, medical and graduate with zero student loans. That alone is invaluable. Why would I pay for them to attend a university I happened to attend if they have no connections to community, loyalty or interest in the educational opportunities. At this point it’s a poor man’s version of NFL. At least NFL has some guard rails where most teams can compete. I have no issues with original intent of NIL but not a fan of what it has become and how it will impact the future of football on saturdays.

frick that noise. I'm not giving money to a bunch of entitled teenagers already getting a free ride (while millions of other students are buried in debt) yet want to sit what they deem are "meaningless games" out and would take that money and run if another school called.

Requests like this from the University push me one step closer to canceling my membership. Bad enough for Gamecock club fees, season ticket prices, parking, taxes, etc. But could you please donate even more money to NIL?? fricking joke.
