Notre Dame afforded BK multiple chances to to win big games in the BCS and CFP era. Lost them all as far as I can remember. Sad. Pathetic.

You're right. BK led Notre Dame to 5 major bowl games and lost 4. Marcus Freeman lost that 5th one last season.
HOWEVER...........between Lou Holtz and BK, ND had only made 3 major Bowls and they lost all those too.
So for a program that hasn't won a major bowl game since the very beginning of Bill Clinton's first presidential term, just getting your team to 5 major bowls inside of a decade is good.
