My neighbor had my vet wife remove her surgery stitches so she didn't have the pay the $1000 for her "real doctor" to do it.

I've never heard of paying $1000 for sutures to be taken out. FYI it's bundled with the payment for the surgery. Should be free.

Dafuq? Charge for removal of stitches? Something smells funny. The postop visit is typically within the global period of surgery with no additional charge. Your neighbor was probably just not wanting to take time out of her day to go back to the doctor
