None of the guys in the portal did jack shite at A&M.

Neither did the starters.

Damn

But this brings up a good point I've been throwing around in my head. I wonder if fellow coaches truly trust Jimbo's development of these guys, or they simply see a former highly rated recruit and assume Jimbo did no development and that they can get those players up to SEC starter status?

How often do SEC coaches see a former 4 and 5 star in the portal and assume THEY can get the most out of them, whereas the former coach couldn't? And which coaches do they trust the least when it comes to having a quality player on the bench that just needed some development?

I could see coaches looking at these 4* A&M transfers and thinking "Jimbo and his guys just suck at developing players. This dude is a diamond in the rough"

I follow A&M closely and I can speak to each of the guys in the portal. There is only one 5 star in the portal, Denver Harris, and it is rumored he has a 0.0 GPA. He fricked up and was given multiple chances before he was kicked off the team.

There are three high 4 star recruits. LJ Johnson, Adeleye and PJ Williams. PJ was busted with half a pound of weed and was suspended for smoking weed in the locker room after a loss. LJ has battled a hamstring injury that really limited him and left him buried on the depth chart.

Tunmise Adeleye was injured his entire career but probably has the most upside of anyone we have in the portal. He could be a beast in the SEC if he can stay healthy and could play for any team.

The rest of the guys are JAGS and probably couldn't start at any SEC school.
