So a few years ago I went to Jackson for work and I got a hotel downtown. I figured I would walk somewhere for dinner or something. Man I could not have been more wrong. Downtown Jackson was a ghost town. I ended up just getting room service. Now when I travel there I just stay in Pearl

I'm so sorry you had to potentially sacrifice your life like that. Drive up Lakeland Drive (into Flowood). It's literally not more that 3 miles from where you stayed.

Flowood , like Brandon, have cops everywhere. 1000000000 times safer than Jackson, although so is Pearl which is where you stayed.

I hate staying in towns like Pearl though. It looks like every other city I go to. I like staying downtown if I can, I was in Columbus last month and they had a few restaurants open downtown
