You really resorting to transitive properties? Then carry it through the entire schedule. On field does matter. That is why Alabama is ranked higher than UT. UT got steamrolled twice. That, believe it or not mattered.
I get it. We would be feeling the same, but I think most of us would also accept logic.

Didn't Tennessee beat Bama? So what is your transitive property argument again?
ETA: I think Bama would win head to head right now, but the selection criteria clearly states that UT should be ahead.
